Scripture:
Colossians 1:16
"For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him."
Reflection:
You weren't created randomly or accidentally. You were created by Jesus and FOR Jesus. He has a purpose for your life, and He's actively moving you toward that purpose right now. Even when you can't see it, even when circumstances seem confusing, Jesus is sustaining your calling.
You are the salt and light in your world—your family, your workplace, your community. Jesus didn't save you just to sit and wait for heaven. He saved you to partner with Him in bringing His Kingdom to earth. Your what (your specific purpose) may still be unfolding, but your why is clear: you were made for Him.
Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for creating me with purpose. I confess I don't always understand where You're taking me, but I trust You are sustaining my calling. Open my eyes to see the opportunities You place before me today to be salt and light. Show me how to abide in You so I can fulfill what You've called me to do. Amen.
Action:
Ask yourself these questions: What stirs my heart? What injustice makes me angry? What do I feel passionate about? Write down your answers and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal how He might be calling you to make a difference in that area.
