Scripture:
Matthew 24:25
"See, I have told you beforehand."
Reflection:
Jesus didn't leave His followers in the dark. He warned them—and us—about what was coming. Deception would increase. False prophets would arise. Even the elect could be influenced if they're not grounded in truth. But we're not caught off guard. We've been told ahead of time. The question is: Will we heed the warning? Will we prepare ourselves by staying in God's Word? Will we be aware, alert, and armed? The enemy's tactics are predictable—he questions God's Word, twists Scripture, and masquerades as an angel of light. But when we know the truth, we can spot the lie. Jesus has equipped us. Now it's our responsibility to stay ready.
Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for not leaving me unprepared. You've warned me, equipped me, and given me everything I need to stand firm in truth. Help me take Your warnings seriously. Give me the discipline to read Your Word, the discernment to recognize deception, and the courage to stand for truth no matter what. Amen.
Action:
Finish reading the Gospel of John this week (if you've been reading three chapters daily, you should be almost done). Then commit to a sustainable Bible reading plan moving forward—whether it's a chapter a day, the One Year Bible, or another approach. The key is consistency, not perfection.
